Who do you park your sites with?

Hi Rhythm,

I was parking mine with Sedo but found their pages to be pretty poor for search engines. I'm now starting to puttogether my own holder pages tp replace the sedo ones.

We use Namedrive too. Results way down over last few months but I think that's typical of the whole industry.

I'm planning a bit more effort with what I do with my domains next year. More development, more varied parking options, affiliate programs - just taking a bit more time rather than dumping them all in ND with a view to sorting them out later.

Hi.

Just a caution:

Been using WhyPark since Christmas 09.

Nice easy way for stats. I even had a low LSV (400) ranking 8th for a while. That is until Google made it rank 120-something.

Now that's what I call a parking fine.

Yeah I have noticed my WhyPark sites getting smashed of late.

Hence why I have learnt to do very basic, limited WordPress theme sites. I can only use one theme (because I am very amateur) but already noticing vast improvements. Sure I dont have the number of pages on the sites that I do with whypark, but it's unique content.

Examples:
www.novatedleaseexplained.com.au #4 in Google
www.drivingtest.com.au #8 in Google

These sites take me about 15 mins to build and Adsense revenue has increased since switching by about 400%.

OK. I'm guess I'm going to have to take that back. The aforementioned site is back to 11. Still with WhyPark.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on with the SERPs.

Please don't hate me, but I don't see the point of parking... I know it is easy, but if you have a reseller server , just upload one PLR article and setup a tiny hosting for each domain name... and LEAVE IT... like good wines... you never know what time can do... ;)

Given my uncertainty as to the status of parked sites in the SERPs, Google or otherwise, and not wanting to run the risk of being de-indexed, and seeing as I was going to do it anyway, I'll probably be moving onto minisites sooner rather than later.

Still got to work out a local AU host, which one are you using?/have you used? Any recommendations?

OK, now I'm fairly certain G has penalised Whypark sites.

...One of my biggest fears about parking and why i don't park premium domains is that I am worried that this could be seen as 'bad faith' if someone takes me through the UDRP process... Sure, it most likely won't happen, but if it does then I would be V sad...

Exactly.

I agree.

What's the difference between RPM and nRPM?

What's better: 1-Click/2-Click/Portal?

What does it mean on NameDrive when the keyword I entered is Highlighted Red/Yellow/Green? I guess Green = OK and Red= Not OK but what's yellow? On mouseover it says "Live Keyword = n/a"

Thanks.

Found out the difference between RMP/nRPM.

Any tips re: 1-click/2-click/portal selection? Are any one of these better than the other two?

Are you going to tell us the diff between RMP/nRPM?
1-click/2-click/ is all a matter of opinion and may depend on the type of traffic and domain
You could always ask Namedrive to decide for you on 1-click or 2-click
Somewhere on their site it says if you write to them for help they will make the decisions for you
There are at least a couple of Australians working for them in Cologne, so I always find them more than ready to help out us aussie battlers
