So, for those of you who already elected to use your one free pass and get your vanity URL locked in before you reached the 25 like requirement and who still need to lock in another vanity URL on a page that has yet to reach the 25 like threshold, I recommend a simple solution. All you need to do is go to your page’s settings (edit page option) and add somebody else who has not used that free pass as an administrator to the page. In my case, I have family members who just use Facebook for basic communication and picture sharing, and they have little need to start or manage a Facebook Page; that was a perfect situation for me. Give your mom or close friend who does not have a need for the Facebook Page loophole, and have them go to
http://facebook.com/username and select the URL that you want. Of course, since you can only select one URL that Facebook will not allow you to change, make sure that you pick wisely and ensure that your friend or family member does not type it in incorrectly. Ideally, you would want to be in the same room with your family member or close friend when this happens.
