How about this... Even though Adrian said they have not pushed for any additional competing .au direct extension....
Is this true and accurate? Doesn't it read like they are pushing an agenda for their own benefit perhaps?

Also worth noting Ausregistry's names policy panel submission,

https://www.auda.org.au/assets/pdf/sub-ausregistry16.pdf

AusRegistry supports the opening of the .au namespace to direct registrations. We take the position that ability to directly register domains at the second level is an expected conclusion to the evolution of the .au namespace.

It is not a matter of if it will happen, but instead a matter of whether the market is ready to make this change now. As such any delay is merely delaying the inevitable and any implementation issues are only exacerbated by an increase in the size of the namespace over time.

Also this one,

The .au brand will be adversely impacted by not implementing direct registrations, particularly as relevance becomes diluted by further innovation at the top level by the new gTLD options and the new domain business models they introduce and deliver to consumers.

Just waiting for the AGM audio minutes.... .

This scam has been exposed.. FOLLOW THE MONEY

More reasons for auDA to bring the wholesale registry in house or the government to run it.

Worth reading again attached

Also this one,
Ah the infamous one question survey.

Would it be fair for any supply entities are past board directors have used their databases for Yes Only Vote surveys with "false and misleading" claims?

I hope everyone can read this attached document to see the facts and also now in hindsight how the .uk did not become remarkably successful at all as some powerful entities have falsely claimed.

We now have the benefit of hindsight.

Obviously some in Supply have teamed up to put more pressure on to ram this through for their own Financial benefit.. $$$ FOLLOW THE MONEY again....

Look at the massive demand members vote at the AGM against the proposed competing additional .au extension.... There is no factual demand once people learn more..and the real stats are looked at plus additional costs for registrants, businesses consumers etc.

The attached document, by Edwin Hayward makes for interesting reading,

....the call for change is not being driven by businesses. It is driven by greed, not need

Even some supply people are beginning to talk this way.

Well it appears most of what he wrote was true after all!

I hope the Names Policy Panel does their research and reads it.

"And I'm not saying you're wrong, perhaps it is a money grab by those concerned, but what I take issue with is people pretending to be some sort of ambassador for the "everyday Australian" when it's simply a case of not being in a position to profit."
