    Good news; bad news

I read that Gympie article - someone commented that it's 'illegal to redirect' I've never heard that. I redirect alot of sites Does anyone here have any legal knowledge about redirection or is the calico goose who commented on the article leading us into a wild goose chase?

    slack invoice paying clients

I have an awesome debt collector who has helped me with some long overdue invoices and now. She's professional, persistent and reasonably priced, but more than that she can advise you on how to set your pricing and invoices in place so that you dictate the terms, not the client. .. let me know...

    New GTLDs

Martin that is a fair comment. But I think the scale in which I'm seeing tld's being released is so much bigger. When I look at sedo or flippa for domain names, they all seem to be the more conservative names. I guess it also comes down to price - I'm not sure if it's possible to get really...

    Blocking Semalt Referrer

Actually I signed up for it - the free one and every day I get an email that states where I am placed in google with up to 50 names, for free - I have since then deleted my account as I was unable to see the value of it to be honest. What shits me though is that I can't hide my own site - eg...

    New GTLDs

umm.. yes I confess - I bought mymtb.bike and dnn.guru. I had to stop myself because it's just ridiculous - but I do love them. I haven't seen many live sites at the moment promoted with the new tld's yet. If I could find a reason I would invest in them but now what I am seeing is that there...

    Ecommerce Software

Hi - I thought I'd chime in as I'm about to venture on a project of creating 1/2 dozen stores as demos using the exact same products to show users about how different they are. I understand your concerns about WordPress I read that article last week and am amazed at how little people know...

Melbourne IT to buy Netregistry Group

I just had a look on namescout - they're advertising .com.au for 2 years - 13.58 - has anyone had any experience? Or is it 13.58 per year for two years? It's hard to decipher. http://www.namescout.com/Domain-Pricing.aspx

Melbourne IT to buy Netregistry Group

I agree - I'm in the process of reviewing all my domains and the problem we had when they took over planet domain was pretty poor. *sigh* the illusion of choice is coming around to bite us I think.

    SSL differences ??????

The pricing in domains varies in few instances. 1 - you can have a low risk domain ssl for when you're integrating with facebook where pages are embedded from your site and you need ssl for it to display. We have that on a few sites. 2 - there is ssl for lower volume, low risk transactions...

    Mobile phone websites

I've got a moably account, a bizzapps account and also a conduit account. They all seem ok, I paid 299.00 for my account, so this is an exceptional deal, and for the money you couldn't do wrong trying it out, but I'd also look at Conduit - http://www.conduit.com they bought wibya a while ago...

    Drop Off in Online Business

The problem is, as I see, is the world of 'overwhelmness' - I am doing some small talks in September and October for a few of my business colleagues introducing them, in plain english to social media. I have found that many businesses are getting left behind because they simply don't understand...

    SSL Certificates

http://www.cheapssl.com - resells them all - I don't know who owns them but they are cheap as.. Also - one thing to remember you need to have a domain setup for the domain you are actually getting the ssl for, or access to the registrar domain to action this, but apart from that it's quick, cost...

    Mobile phone websites

I think with mobile phone usage, people behave quite differently than with their normal desktop or laptop browsing. Well I do, and generally am quite specific about what I'm looking at rather than browsing for the sake of it. While I can't work out my stats on my ads, which I've setup on a few...

    Outsourcing ANYTHING !

We outsource, but only specific elements of a job and we only work with those who know the technology I work with. If it's copy and paste or very repetitive work that does not require much skill level then that's fine, but I have had experiences in the past which have not gone as well because...

Don't know how to integrate merchant facility into OpenCart

Bendigo Bank do not have integrated merchant facilities. I was hoping to move to them, but they do not have online integrated facilities. It makes no difference what cart is being used, until they have support, there is no api to connect to.

    New Web Site - Dimensions

The 960 grid system is fantastic.. I think it needs an element of skill with CSS because what happens is that you think you've got it right - until you open up other browsers. We use 960 grid / 12 & 16 is our preference. It is the perfect tool for structured consistency. I second what you say...

    New Web Site - Dimensions

Height - there is no real 'height' specific recommendation. But let's get a bit realistic here - the home page is your '10 second commercial' whereby you have a limited amount of time for people to decide .. shall I stay or shall I go.. so, I would use a laptop screen, maybe a 1024 or 1280 res...

    New Web Site - Dimensions

This is a sensible size - it also allows for the scroll bars to sit elegantly without that annoying sideways scroll.
