What's new

roulette.com.au

Can you expand? AFAIK, roulette has a very high edge in favour of the casino when compared to other games.

Don't know much about it but I can imagine it being less addictive & thus less profitable online when it it is just pure chance compared to say poker where alot probably think they are good at it and get sucked in far more easily.

But from looking at Poker(dot)com(dot)au what are the rules around affiliate links from the com.au to an international affiliates. I have read into the rules and I know you can not run the business in Australian shores but what is the rules around operating an affiliate too international businesses? (can any one comment who knows these rules)

My understanding that even advertising links to any interactive gambling sites is an offence. With meaty fines. However it basically isn't enforced with several referrals to the feds not being followed up...

roulette.it sold at sedo for $30,000 in 09. (total .it's reg'd is just 426K)
roulette.mobi sold for $15,000 in 08.

$0 no way. Just because something is illegal it doesn't mean all value is lost.

Its a speculative domain. What if gambling becomes legal in the future? It'll be worth tens, hundreds of thousands by that time.

Doesn't mean much, as a comparison credit.fr sold for 850k, the .mobi 10k during the .mobi boom and credit.com.au got 18k.

I think at the end of the day, any domain is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay, and a seller is willing to sell for..

IMO it is very similar to buying and selling art.

It's worth plenty. I'm just lighting Snoopys crack pipe

Snoopy sounds like he's getting a sense on humour.

When he's on Crack of course.

You could start to make a directory of sites globally and see what happens.

That is not important.

What is important is that today, it can still be yours if you make the right offer.

My guess would be that whoever buys it, won't be letting go of it for a very long time..

Sort of is important, especially if I was going to buy it.

Seeing as this is an appraisals thread - I have no doubt it is NOT worth the $120k price tag.

The .com would be, but not the .com.au

I suspect the whole thread was pure marketing.
