Hi All,

What a great site !

Wish I found you before now.

I love the Web and domain names and have been trading them and using them for my own businesses for the last 10 yeatrs.

I currently have around 300-400 domains and use cash parking to pay for the registration of them with my hosting company.

I also have a reseller account KoalaDomains.com

I am working on a .xxx dating site now and would LOVE to hear from anyone whom can assist me in buying and setting up my own Tld.

And YES...... before you ask.. funding is in place.

CHeers and I am looking forward in being an active member of DN trade.

Hi Ned,
What is Signature Links ?

A link (or links) that appears at the bottom of every post you make. You could have KoalaDomains.com as a link - and/or some of your other sites.

To do it now, look on the navigation panel above and click on "User CP" (next to "FAQ").

Cheers, Ned

cool, i have 3 seperate Indians i currently deal with and its amazing the difference, just like anyone i guess but the common theme seems to be " you only get what you ask for " .

I've had to push and push and push for most things to be done, even to the point of them saying " thats not what we agreed on" and thankfuly i had backed up every skype conversation i had with them, once i posted it back to them they surrendered !

i use Elance.com i find them great, i've put alot of work through them and i have had a few instances where i required my money back and it has been dealt with professionally and quickly.

my lesson learnt is NEVERRRRRRR pay until the job is done done done and checked checked checked because you will not be able to get anything fixed after you pay.

I pay in 3's , 3rd deposit to get them started then , 3rd on design/function approval by ME, and 3rd on completion. this reduces my risk, lets them know i am for real and need the job done.

i never pay upfront when working first time with anyone no matter where they are in the world, there is sooooo many good programmers out there you don'y need to take risks.

After a few successful jobs with the same person i switch to 50/50 , i've got 1 girl in indonesia and she's so fantastic i'll pay her if she asks as i know she will fix things later if i need to, its about building a relationship and a "team"

good luck with the project, post a link when its done, its a tough gig getting a dating site to make money these days i suspect?

Spacey is going to be your first member? One thing you may have trouble with is listing a xxx site in forums, directories etc you may need to spend a fair bit of cash getting to get it known.

In regards to the outsourcing I love the drip feed systems like on freelancer. Never pay until you are 100 percent happy and give milestone payments.

Welcome Malhurst! And thanks for the info findtim, it's appreciated.
I've got very bad experience with freelancer.com and would not advise to use it. Haven't tried elance.com but I hear it's much better.

i think this is ready to becoma a seperate post?

i have had only 2 issues on Elance and both have been solved promptly and professionally.

actually i just had one today, i just communicated to the guy that i didn't think this was working out for both of us and i wanted to end the agreement, he responded YEP, and he has instigated the refund of my deposit paid.

what i find is BE HONEST with your expectations, write DETAILED criteria and instantly reject anyone that doesn't answer you criteria.

********** BIG HINT**********

this is now what i do, i place a job offer, and at the bottom or middle of the offer i make this statement " whats your favourite colour needs to be included in your bid"

anyone that doesn't include that means they have NOT READ your criteria and you can delete them instantly which saves you MOUNTAINS of time ( this is not an original idea but i got it form somewhere? )

****** end of big hint *******

What i am finding is that Elance is very good a mediation, and because the applicants know this they are willing to give you what YOU want.

now what i am saying here is they are almost being forced to be totally honest, and as long as you are then there is no hassles.

what i have found is you NEEEEEEDDDD to be totally honest in your expectations, narrow your bids to 3-5 and then NAIL them into pure honesty before you decide, think of almost ever outcome and ASK the question.

I have an SEO job right now on E and i have a bid from someone that says " no result no pay within 3 months", but if in 3 months i have no result am i actually better off? NOOOO , i've just lost 3 months trade

I've had 27 bids for this job and i've narrowed it down to 9 so far, but its been A LOTTTTT of work for me researching them and making sure they are not dodgy................... and event he i don't know but at least i've been able to make some phone calls and check them out...ish

i hope that helps?
