Other than the normal rule of thumb of not buying domains which are not potentially protected by a trademark, what's your thoughts on owning a .reviews domains with the like telstra.reviews or coles.reviews

no, don't waste your time and money. As I said before you should just focus on acquiring a small number of premium domains that you can develop

You could make something like Software.reviews and review software it could work though it is better to buy softwarereviews.com.au or .com in my eyes.

I would not buy any trademark based domains brands like Telstra have legal teams ready and waiting to pounce on things like this!

Agree with all the above, needs to be worth your's or someone else's time, consider that when domaining, As mentioned a few times now, there is a vibrant aftermarket, avoid hand regging crap

I see a lot of people registering these types of names, but I personally wouldn't recommend it.

There's a lot of info on trade marks and new extensions, .sucks and .xxx is one that comes to mind.

Better domains are those that are generic and brandable that a lot of people would be interested in.
