First Leptos, now Boardman

Leptos got a few lines, and Boardman gets the full treatment. A significant event like the Chair suddenly resigning on June 18 didn't even make auDA's 2019 Q2 Report. Strange. Must be some stories that need to be told.

FFS, as someone who experienced that persons tenure you just have to look back to his first AGM and the words he spoke that set us on the way to disaster and its only just beginning once it all kicks in.

the BIGGGG question here now is that they have stated he resigned short of his contract so IS THERE a payout? which might suggest many things.

seems illogical that he can resign and get a large payout? it will be interesting to see the financials and i personally feel that figure whatever it is we all have a right to know.

I wonder if the contract was 3 years , if so it would seem it would have been up in August. Does "resigned" look better than "contract not renewed". Probably.
 
Time to put in some questions and history again which some newbies and potential auDA Directors, new auDA CEO, new Communications Minister might not know!

When the did the auDA CEO 3 year contract which was due to expire this week actually expire?

Wasn't the auDA CEO 3 year contract due to expire the end of July 2019 ( this week) anyway?

Why accept an auDA CEO "resignation" if the auDA CEO 3 year contract was due to expire this week anyway?

Why would auDA payout any money to any auDA CEO whose contract term was to expire and auDA was not going to extend or renew the auDA CEO contract to the incumbent auDA CEO under the circumstances?

What is the state of the auDA Foundation? This is another serious matter.
From 2016 auDA Board and Managament has been giving out money https://www.webawards.com.au/ directly instead of via the proper public procedures of the auDA Foundation grant applications and reports. It seems this has been how things have been run over the last 3 years

Was it a tactic to payout for things without having to report it via the ACNC and Foundation process?

They are wise to all be leaving before it starts. If they bring it in it is probably going to end up like a Fawlty Towers episode, a part of me actually wants to see this train wreck extension come out now.

Why is growth a focus for auDA? Stuff growth. The only people who need growth are the supply side not the general public or any other stake holders.

The direct registrations farce has been shoved down our throat by the supply side and it obviously still drives the board.

I doubt auDA is financially set. Damn accounts were pilfered by pirates. I recall last financial year auDA had it's first Loss ($million +) this fun year wouldn't be far from last.

What did it achieve, nothing, the old licensing rules are the same as the new with the exception of removing monetization as a basis for registration which was great for us. A constitution which only incorporated a single membership and a NomCom, nothing new.

Yet $10 million + were spent on policy development and a new extension nobody wants or needs, all of which a 3 year old with a crayon could have concluded for free.
