No way. Phishing sites, counterfeit goods, scams etc

it has to be ABN imo , abn is free.
i have a friend who has an abn but only earns @ $2000 a year ( single mum ) but its still an ABN and she pays no tax.
i suppose what do people on the dole use ? as identification, surely you could be on the dole and own a domain name like DIY.com.au LOL ? just joking

Open the entire market...get rid of ABN
Include extensions like
.Australia
Domain.Home.au
Transport.Car.au
Rental.Hire.au
Launch all the extensions possible..saturate the entire market with all types of extensions. It's going there eventually, why wait?

It's easy enough to check an ABN (many registrars have automated this), but how would registrars validate a Drivers License or Passport #?
