Still believe this is shill bidding, businessbanker.com.au has a very similar course of bidding as well,

In one instance each name has been bid on within 2 minutes,

safebanking.com.au

Tue 22 Mar 2011 13:47:37 $1000.00 AUD

businessbanker.com.au

3 Tue 22 Mar 2011 13:49:33 $17000.00 AUD

There is nearly half a dozen other bank names with doubtful bids as well all with bids around the same timeframe (March 2011) and all very hard to believe bids given the names..

Woukd be nice to see them sell to a bank. Would be good for domain values and might make it another positive media story for domain values

Wonder what's happening here? I have to say I find it strange that a deal hasn't been done at these levels.
If they were my domains, I'd be long gone and on holidays by now! :D

Safebanking.com.au is up to $42,000, but the offer has expired.

Businessbanker.com.au is up to $30,000, but the offer has also expired.

What do you think? What would you do if they were yours? Would you have sold?

Just looking back at some old posts and saw this. Nearly a year has passed - and the domains are still sitting there unchanged.

If they were genuine bidders, then it is a real case of "missed the boat" imho.

Something definitely smells funny.

Without looking at the search stats, I would pay no more than $500 for safebanking.com.au (I just don't see how you could monetise it) and I'd probably pay no more than $2,000 for businessbanker.com.au. Businessbanking.com.au would be a different story though...

Bump. Just came across this domain today on NetFleet (with a $42,000 bid on it) and thought it looked too good to be true.

I think all offers on Netfleet's domain catalogue that are not accepted within the offer and acceptance time period should be removed.

I think it also is justified legally by contract law that when an offer is not accepted or no counter-offer is made and accepted then the original offer is no longer valid.

Looks to me as though "shill bids" are placed as a way of setting a reserve price.

FYI - there are about 41,500 domains in Netfleet's Domain Catalogue with 3,500 offers.
