How long should I wait for the .au to resolve in my account from the registry?

Hey all, so I purchased a .com.au domain from my hosting provider (Nov 11, 2016) , it was not an exact match criteria, it says in my account pending, waiting for the registry to respond. Today is the 16th Nov, 2016.

How long does it take, or should it take?

mine rarely go to pending and i get notified within minutes and can delegate straight away.
if it goes to pending i'd say its just a few hours max, never 24 hours.

It should only take a few minutes.
Follow up with your registrar via a support ticket or phone call.

Still a problem unfortunately. So a bug in my purchase form, dropped my ABN from the application, supplying it to support, they sent it on to the registra, but nothing has happened yet. I have asked them to look into it again, or just give me a refund.

don't wait, tell them to cancel and refund and go somewhere else, don't use them again. this should take 2 minutes.
i have a saying " if i walk out of the house in the morning and forget something 3 times...........stay home....not a good day to be outside" :D

Sorry Tim, I like your enthusiasm, and support, but the aggressive nature of name and shame will do nothing but hurt my overall Brand and gear negative SEO traffic my way.

An update, this has been resolved, and I now posses the .au's I was after for an upcoming course I'm selling.

Thanks for the input, I now know that this should be pretty much automatic, but I do have one question, if its automated, how do they verify the ABN, is that bit manual, or can anyone just grab a abn number set from the asic website and use that. I know mines legit, but is it possible to fake with a real ABN, or do they manually verify your creds vs your business registration.

no shame: ok, just don't get bitten twice.

i think the abn is a crock, i do it correct every time but yes just steal one from asic !
thats WHY i can't understand those DH's buying off drops and getting caught? if they just bought those horrible names off crazyD they'd have no chance of being caught.
i just experimented with crazyD and they took me all the way to paying with a new signup , dodgy email and stolen asic number.

i don't think they could handle doing it manually.

well it could be long term gain, they could take a lot of product orders before anybody complains and xmas would be perfect timing.

they would be very difficult to trace and $20 a domain, a standard ecom site, a dodgy paypal account and you're away.
i know if i wanted to i could do it and not be tracked

There has been stories In the past of registrants using other businesses ABNs that they are in no way affiliated with.

Crazy thinking that it is possible. You wonder if AuDA can partner up with ASIC to leverage an api, licence key or something, so that a registrant just needs to input their encrypted key, at checkout, and it then authenticates their credentials or something. (Thinking out side the box here, I don't know if that's even possible, but if AuDA is meant to be a government level body, I would think that it would be a national interest to prevent international domain squatting.

well they say soon you won't need an abn anyway.
names panel final: page 17
"Individual registrants would not have to provide an official identifier (warranty‐based), consistent with current practice in id.au. Given that an individual who is an Australian citizen or resident is not required to provide an official identifier, it would be inconsistent to require an individual who is an Australian sole trader to provide their ABN.
