Google search is broke.

Tried searching for two things.

One SEO-related and another movie related.

They must be trying a new shitty algorithm.

It's possible my query keywords are a bit unorthodox.

eg. There is a new movie out in the US, looking for more info on producer/director. Not finding results.

asic vs asics

Search one or the other and the alternative shows up 2nd.

Why would anyone searching for shoes be shown a govt entity. And vice versa.

Actually I think that result it ok. Users can be pretty retarded.
I thought it might have been local. as I noticed Google had removed some 3packs that they had been running over past few weeks. I am also anticipating the cleaners in san jose term to be rolled out, so was wondering if it was that

I'm still getting ugly results. This time for long tail.

I found a website yesterday after a few searches.

Trying to find the same website with the same keywords and no luck.

Enjoy. Got this in an email. I make a small appearance somewhere on p2 of the thread.

Did you spot the shifts in Google SERPs this week? WebmasterWorld Members are renowned for their astuteness and observations, and have been reporting changes to Google SERPs in our September 2015 update thread. Google has remained tight-lipped over what these changes might be, so it’s pure speculation as to whether it’s a test, or something more noteworthy, but what’s clear is that it’s been the most significant change in quite a few weeks. A number of suggestions for the name of this change including, “Equinox” as it happened around the time of the equinox. However, often, it’s best not to name changes, especially if they are just tests.

As Google have remained silent on this update, it’s quite likely it was a test, although Google have been much quieter on commenting on updates, tests and changes in recent times.
