Should also point out that I don't think $40-60 is an unreasonable price bracket for people with just a handful of names.

For most registrars they are probably more likely to drain support resources.

They've given plenty of notice this time - changes come into effect 1st August. If people don't like it, they have plenty of time to shift without penalty.

at least they did that.

I agree with some of the comments, Registrars have a right to make money, after all they are businesses and don't exist to lose money for the benefit of us. Netfleet has been transparent and has notified everyone in advance so I don't see the issue.

There is plenty of competition in the Registrar market, not just on price but other factors like service. I am personally happy for the registrars to make some money because I want them to be sustainable and provide (a) continued competition; and (b) provide support when needed.

We should also consider supporting the registrar sponsors of this site, there are a good choice Drop, Netfleet, Ventra and Domain Shield.

this thread is pretty simple
1)every business of course wants and NEEDS to make money
2)every person has a choice to deal with whoever they want to
3)price increases....... just look at coles " down down prices are down" bullS^^T
4)its simple, walk with your wallet. just tell them and they will ignore you but you may feel happier.

as i said before....... at least they gave us warning

EVERY business makes decisions on fees and charges as they see fit, every business takes a risk on that decision, but in the end its their decision to take.

you can just then make your decision on to stay or leave.

tick tick you have 21 days

Assuming you have 60 domains - its $21.xx at Netfleet and $19.90 On Sale at crazy domains.

There's really not that much of a difference.

Is this outrage about a $1/yr difference - or do you guy not have 60 domains?

Based on 6-15 domains - its still cheaper than most other renews which are $49.95

I feel like I've missed something. You guys have less than 6 domains at Netfleet?

Netregistry charged me $88 for a renewal there last month.

i'm just confused, they are not after a retail market and retail is a few people with a few domains, THUS they must want domainers, but then they don't do anything other then sit and think about how to get rid of domainers !

am i the only one that has noticed a significant decrease in prices for drops? you get the odd few winners, but its really bottomed out now.

i can't see how they are paying the bills?
