The site has been closed for 10 years or more, and it isn't known if it has even been parked with sedo for 30 days.

I don't agree, its a good name, they paid way to much in the beginning.

I would have though it would be a good name for carsales or realestate dca

make a "firesale" type site, quick sales..... 1,2,3 SOLD

Don't agree either. Often it is the kiss of death when Yahoo gets involved. I'm not about to say this is some amazing name that should be developed, I think it would be very difficult. But Yahoo buying something and running it into the ground is par for the course.

14 November was the last update date, which in my view is when the name servers were switched to Sedo, which would explain the real traffic numbers (ie. being traffic from 14 November)

Sedo has reported the sale of sold.com.au for $15600 USD

A bargain indeed. If I was a real estate agent I'd be onto that as my website and email address for sure.

As a comparison, I was at a number plate auction a few years back when the Qld plate 'SOLD' went for $25k.

I love plates, but I'd much rather the domain.

That is a cool number plate for an agent, but no agency is going to call their agency "Sold". The numberplate works in that instance, the domain doesn't.

I think this domain is great if you were looking to make the following:

- Car Sales site.
- Real estate sales site.
- Pretty much selling any thing =)

Good luck to the buyer, I was thinking of bidding if it was only going to go for 6k USD hehe, 15k is still fair in my eyes.
