Would you post your developed mini sites?

Like many other dntraders, I am developing some of my domains, rather than leaving them in declining PPC. I would really appreciate seeing some examples of mini-sites with Adsense, Adbrite etc that dntraders have developed for their domains.

I'm not asking for postings of parked pages such as Sedo, Whypark, Imodo but developed mini sites.

I'm hoping to see some (inspirational..) examples of mini-sites developed from scratch or using available templates. If you'd like to showcase or share, I hope you post some links to your sites.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Corey

Hey David, how do you make money on some of those mini sites, some have no adsense, like the cocktail site?
Don

Hi Don,

Not making any money on that one. I always try and concentrate on building the traffic before looking at monetisation options and this one's only just completed. Going to be a hard one to make money off anyway due to it's nature - visitors will not be looking to spend any money!

Don't have that sort of thinking
Cocktail recipe sites have a lot of potential earning power.
other than Liquor there is glassware, accessories (like coasters, swizzle sticks), garnishes (olives, limes), Mirrors, Bar stools.
The possible niche markets are endless.

Then there is Paid Links and review ad market.

Some of you need to broaden your outlook.

You see a rabbit chewing your lawn and think bloody pesky pest.

I see a rabbit and think
Ads for
  • Rabbit Stew recipes
  • Frozen rabbits
  • Rifle sales
  • Carrots
  • Warner Bros Cartoon Dvds
  • Lawn Turf Suppliers
  • Stetson Hats
  • Rabbit Hutch
  • Rabbit food
  • Rodent flea treatments
  • Vet Referrals

Nice looking site Corey. Really needs some unique content though. I'd suggest putting together at least 5 x 350 word pages of content.

They should all be specifically targetted to the phrase 'drug testing' with an Indian angle (mention the owrd India frequently). Do that & you should be number one for the search term 'drug testing' in India (you're currently 20th) without having to do anything else.

Just my thoughts... hope it helps.

PS - http://www.business-standard.com/india/news/india-emerges-as-drug-testing-hub/352281/ for another possible angle to the site?

Hey Netfleet,

What's the easiest way to find out where you rank for a certain term?

I have market samurai, but find its results conflict with some manual searches that I do...

Cheers,

Tim

I don't actually use a tool - just check manually. Should probably look into it though sop I'll check out Market Samurai & the tool you mentioned, soj. Thanks guys!

Do any of these tools report by location? Eg I mainly want to see what an Aussie IP sees searching on ngoogle.com.au ?

PS if you didn't know, in Google you can do an advanced search & see results as if you were searching from elsewhere. In fact the advanced search has a heap of useful features these days...check it out
