hows this going? Shouldnt take long to get it back into that empty white space area.

Its obvious very little standard catalogue sales are happening since the changed layout format which seems to now only be promoting paid methods ( auctions, spotlight etc)

is netfleet planning to still promote and support Free standard catalogue Listings or is this being phased out?

Hang on... I know you are keen on this but I don't think there's been a convincing argument to do so. For myself, as a buyer I prefer not to see lastest bids on the homepage. As a seller, I prefer the focus on the auctions as they appear to have sold domains at many times the rate of the standard listings (would love to see some stats guys)

Where did you get that idea?

First off:

I wouldn't waste your time with that.. there hasn't been a recorded sale in quite a while.

Does Netfleet not use the "domain spinner" functionality on NetRegistry sites anymore? All I'm seeing is a backorder link now on NR and nothing on Zip.. shame, but I guess it might have affected fresh rego's

You're not going mad - it was broken, and was since fixed :) It was only offline for a day or so however.

And just to address the Standard Listings concerns - admittedly, there has been less promotion of the Standard Listings of late whilst we tried to push our recently relaunched AMAs. We are working on the whole site and how it ties in together, and will ensure Standard Listings get it's fair share of exposure - we will have modified home page/search/browse ability live over the coming days.

Simply adding a Recent Offers section will not particularly boost the views/offers on Standard Listings due to the redesign of home page.

We have no plans to phase out Standard Listings - on the contrary we intend to ramp things up very soon in this area.

And regarding the perceived dip in sales - I will get some sales statistics together today - but in summary, January 2012 saw the strongest month in terms of sale value and sale volume in 11 months on Netfleet.

Cheers

Hi Mark but January seems to be lowest month for Standard category Listings sales ( FREE to sell and advertise) this is the point.

Thanks yes It did seem you guys stopped the focus on standard listings and the results of lower enquiries and lower sales prove this. Please get it back and running again. You have the white empty space on the home page available.

The sooner the better or Free platforms ( Stabndard Catalogue Listing) will start to appear again, grow and ultimately will compete against you.

Hi DN

Like I said above, there is more to it that just adding a Recent Offers table on the home page.

As demonstrated by previous comments on this thread, we have to consider both buyer and seller as objectives differ, whilst promoting all of our sales platforms, and not just reacting to what may suit your specific needs.

We trying to find a harmonious middle ground for all, and will update with progress along the way

Cheers

The recent offers is not that important its the Standard catalogue Listings being back on there that is.

Hi Mark ( netfleet) any updates when Standard Catalogue Listings will show again on the home page? There is some large white empty space available to put it back in :)

You can ask the same thing over and over again, but please don't expect a different result :)

When I have something for you, I will update

Cheers

DomainNames - it won't make a bit of difference, I'm afraid. Showing a sample of a few dozen domains out of 40,000 names listed below the fold on the homepage won't help. There are really only two things that will increase end user interest on listed domains:

1) The namespinner - names showing on Netreg, Planet Domain etc
2) Having a link to your listing or using NF's lander

However I do agree that there should be something there - as you say there is an empty spot

Have you not had any success with the auctions?
