I'm sure that many have tried to have them shut down and have failed. They seem to work happily outside the loophole of law.

You would have MORE success in petitioning a member of parliament to introduce a law to help prevent these morons from being able to operate IMHO. Old mate Malcolm Turnbull could probably use another feather in his hat.

Funny story, all of my domains are registered to my PO Box which I share with mum. She got so sick of getting these in the mail (I have quite a few domains) that she called the cops and fair trading - guess what they said?

"Just tear them up / don't pay them, we're aware of the scam and now you are too."

Ignorance is bliss, and a haven for scammers.

No registrar, regardless of if its right or wrong will want to terminate a reseller who is making them money. Its up to the company in question to be held accountable and not the registrar as they've done nothing wrong so long as policies are being followed.

aussiehq are not as prominent as ventrip/drop/crazy/MIT and thats probably why they are with aussiehq because i am sure ventraip would not like to be branded with supporting this business practice.

so saying NO registrar would terminate them is i think wrong, any self respecting registrar would..... i'd hope.

It wouldn't be the business practices of the registrar, so long as policies are being met then the registrar is/has done nothing wrong.

If you were a new company just getting started, would you rather say no to new registrations and risk going broke or suck it up and hope people know who they originally purchased the domain with.

Education is key to this not blaming it on the registrar for trying to stay a float.

i'm not blaming the registrar, i thought i made that clear, and the answer to your question is ... yes i would reject some clients and i actually do very often if they don't fit into my business ethics, many times in my life when starting a business i have had .20 cents in the bank and still said no to money.

this is trickery , the email is sent in the form of an invoice, its a lie, its a scam and they know it.

PLUS i have rang them 3 different times pretending over the past weeks that i want to pay the invoice and just need some clarification and i have never had a reply, so what business gets an inbound request to pay and doesn't reply ?????

I wonder how much money these guys are making from this? Seen these notices going around for years. I guess the success rate would be a decent percent?
