As the favourite WP plugins thread has been popular I thought i'd start this version.

this thread can be about FINDING some plugin you are looking for as I've found many paid ones that are not listed on WP and also I have found if I don't type the correct search term then it can take ages to find something.

SO I will start

I'm looking for a "text resizer" you know those "little A big A" button, I have found one but its really sluggish and it has to go in a widget, but i'd like one that goes on every page, I found one that does but it has to be manually put in each time.

so what would be better for me is to be able to perhaps place something in the functions file.

thanks chris, I had seen most of them before but hadn't seen this one http://wordpress.org/plugins/zoom-widget/ which I've ended up using the free version but I think once I have client approval I will buy the paid as it has more features and its only $20.

I used it here http://www.drbrucemunro.com.au/services/ and it fits in nicely with the responsive design, although I did tweak some of the "free" code to make it happen the way I wanted it.
