What is the best practice for your domains once you have registered them? Putting a 'domain is for sale form' to make it easy for people to contact you should they happen to find your site?

Someone shared a wordpress 'domain for sale' theme a while ago maybe they can again, also most parking pages have the option of adding a sales link

What is the best practice for your domains once you have registered them?

It really depends on what your plans are for the domain: I either park it at a parking company (InternetTraffic.com, Rook or Fabulous.com etc) or upload a 'coming soon' landing page to start the SEO process, and/or to capture email subscribers. Occassionally though I throw up a for sale page, for example ;-)

I purchased a template from Theme Forest, if you do a search on their site there are quite a few domain sales templates to select from. Here is the template I purchased:

whatever you do just be careful what you do, even after 100's of domains i stuffed up big time this week, i put up a starter site and then ......... dinners ready, kids screaming, the cricket comes on and BAM, google has indexed the site !!!!

so the google listing says "title goes here" and the speil below is " fkdsljflksd sdlklkds sdlksdlk sdlkjdslk ds"

now i have to wait for google to reindex the homepage.

good advice for newbies, i just don't like coming soon plugins ( yes i am a grey haired bald old fart that doesn't want to change their ways )

I forward all my undeveloped domains to one page. Setting up a separate site/landing page for each one simply isn't practical for me.

I've tweaked the wording a number of times, I'm trying to strike a balance between receiving offers and discouraging tire-kickers and time-wasters.

Parking my undeveloped domains wasn't paying out that much and I've had enough sales this way to not go back to parking. Although in the future I may park just a few of my domains that get a lot of type ins. Used Sedo in the past but might look at alternatives next time.
