Not saying it's the case here but I've seen a few lifetime licence sales on offer whereby the company releases version 2 of their product 12-24 months down the track which requires the purchase of a new licence to access new features which the original won't ever receive.

the page states 5 years, which could be read 2 ways

1) lifetime = 5 years
2) lifetime value estimate based on 5 years but it is lifetime
