I actually know him through the music industry. Let's just say he was on my (s)hit list for about 7 years and he finally came to the party when we threatened to make his practices public.

That catch to this article which isn't mentioned is that he worked a publisher that has bought up a fkload of domains over the past few years. Yeah, you know who I am talking about...

How is he giving us a bad name? He is just one of many scammers which pop up..

I dont work in the SEO overnight ebook market, worry about your own brand is my advice...

Shoddy practices make the whole SEO industry look bad and could lead more clients to move to Adwords...which I believe is more manageable by yourself. I realise what you're saying and I only really worry about my own company, I don't even worry about competitors yet...

I'm not sure what the Tim Sabre relationship is with http://www.omg.com.au/ but I am fairly sure there was a connection at some stage. I note that the articles haven't mentioned that.

I think he just worked at OMG as a sales person, but if you go to google and search for his name the 3rd result is a facebook page showing where he has been spending all the clients money on partys and what not.

I work more so in the enterprise space so clients are very aware of shoddy SEO practics and only want to work with quality, the main people who are hurt form companies like publicity monster are SME's.

that been said firms are moving paid spend to SEO look at slaters today - http://www.adnews.com.au/adnews/paid-search-under-scrutiny I worked with the guy who ran their SEO and IM a while ago he was really switched on.
