Technical issues over the weekend and today

Just a quick heads up that Netfleet is having some technical issues at the moment which we are working to resolve.

Our auction room is stuck in a "sold" state instead of caught/lost for the expired domains so there are ticks with a message "Sold!" instead of the usual caught and lost message.

There are also reports that bids in the final seconds failed to register which we will investigate but also prompts me to always say "make sure you get your bids in early" or at least put in 50% of your bid early and then the full bid in the final moments.

Email support if you have any issues to report.

Yep my bid was not received in the final seconds.

Are you tech issue regarding your SSL Cert? My browser seems to be having difficulty with https and the subdomain www.

Thanks guys, this is the same behaviour I am seeing.

So far we have ruled out any network related issues around the server and the issue appears to be confined to our box so I have the sysadmin taking a look at the log files on the box.

yes i have been having troubles also and keep blaming my connection or whatever but it seems maybe its not me given i have so many computer and browser options.

SOOOO, thinking TOTALLY outside the square, and to help NF , why not put a spare dud domain up for purchase one day, make it so nobody WINS eg: timsnewhaircut.com.au that nobody wants, then let everyone know and we will all attack it bidding however we normally do, we can then all give our feedback.

i think we could do that for you as your sponsorships on dnt events has been great but mostly me need you to run perfect.

note: if drop ever need the same testing then i will be up for that as well.

i'm just putting this out there, if you think that could possible give you some data as i think we ALL want NF operating at 100%.

i personally experienced the hiccups of today, thankfully all sorted but if it was to happen when i am bidding on a "creditcards.com.au" type domain then i would be really peeved.

as always , whatever i can do to help test.

Why? You can always give feedback on any other day with all the domains you do bid on.

Can't see the need for some dodgy domain auction to give feedback on when they have 500+ going to auction each day anyway.

Thanks for the feedback, offers of help and the ideas of things to check. As far as I can see it has been stable since about 5PM yesterday but we are continuing to monitor it closely today.

There are many clients (including Tim) who give me very valuable feedback whenever they encounter any issues and who regularly capture screenshots of issues which is always helpful.

Please let me know if anyone gets any "Connection reset" errors or "Temporarily unavailable" type errors this morning.

I think what tim is proposing is more a stress test.

Good idea imo. Get as many bidders in to bid with a pre-assigned bid amount leading up to the end of auction.

This does not look to be stress related, it is a very quiet time of the year for the auctions, after all it is almost Christmas time for expired domains (2 years + 30 days).
