I registered my first new .com domain name in a while a few days ago and and I'm shocked at the amount of spam that I have received this time around. I've received almost 40 messages in less than 2 days. Is this normal these days or does everyone always go for the the privacy option?

Yes it is fast becoming "normal" I woke to 17 emails today ..... all for development, now keep in mind I have put about 60 on my block list over the last week. Then throw in the phonecalls that are always private numbers. It all adds up to some really dumb people f**king up their own industry ..... would you deal with people like that ??

If it was an established domain previously, prepare for spam especially if that domain had multiple users with active email addresses.
I purchased a .com recently and it was used by some middle-eastern community and they must have all used it to sign up Instagram accounts cause I was getting about 400 emails a week and 80% was spam.
