Nice work James. I'm surprised that Wikipedia allowed, or will continue to allow your listing as per their guidelines: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Article_wizard/Company_notability

As an aside, one of your signature links needs fixing. :/

If the brand is well known Trademark and has a fair bit of news and PR in the media and or has around 100+ locations, or it is a brand that is a trend setter for a specific market, then people will add the listing from the general public. That been said its up to Wikipedia to accept the listing. If you are a small to medium business then yes you are correct it is probably impossible to get on it as they say only 1% of businesses get listed if they are well known in the market as a house hold name.

I mean plenty of pure online stores are on it example

These are well known private companies.

James, not sure i see the value in a business or brand creating a Wikipedia listing.

Isn't it just another page you have to compete with in the SERPs?

The thing is its better then a affiliate ranking for the brand term isn't it, sure Wikipedia is probably something I would put at 90th on the list of 91 things to do for a brand but its just an idea and this presentation is simply that ideas driven.

Thought it would help some people here to generate ideas.

Kind Regards.
