I don't use a plugin for this per se, but I do add very descriptive text to the ALT section of an image in the Media Library.

Op, it could be useful I guess if you used wrote tags in without alt tag. But yeah, media uploader has this functionality anyway.

depends do you have a huge amount of pre existing images on the site
