Noble Samurai are producing a short series of videos on SEO techniques.

The first video is entitled "Behind the Scenes of the SEO Pros".

I've just watched it this morning, and I thought some parts of it were fantastic. It gives an insight on what amateurs do versus what pros do. It was really well set out and understandable even for non-techies like me.

I particularly liked the segment on getting backlinks.

Anyway, these videos are "free" - though I'm sure they are eventually going to ask people to sign up to their new article syndication service. ;)

Here is a link to sign up for the videos (just first name and email required).

Or he is a link just to the first video which is now on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpthiNCIneI&feature=player_embedded

I had a watch, it's not bad, more than anything it's just nice to see the whole process compiled into one nice and neat video.

As they say, you just have to pick up one bit of knowledge (or one idea) and apply it and you're in front.

    I tend to agree.

No doubt it has worked well in the past, and whilst I don't have any emprical evidence about how it has been working post Panda (though I'm in the process of planning a link expirment soon that should be more definitive), but I think the suggestion that "it stills works and it will continue to work in the future" is quite a bold one.

I personally tend to think any "easy" source of links will inevitably be devalued by Google in the long run.

If anything with Google's push of the +1 feature it appears as if Google is going to be looking to utilise social metrics in the future because they have recognised the pitfalls of links being the "primary" indicator of quality.

I'm not saying the days of the link are dead, I'm just saying expecting that links from article sydnication will continue to provide value in 2 or 3 years time is quite a risky assumption IMHO.

    Cool video but....

The days of using Market Samurai are pretty much coming to an end too..

I remember the tool 2 years ago was pretty good, now so many issues with it, personalisation of results/geo area results and the API data it uses is all out of wack.

But really these are not SEO secrets they are just commonly known bs, building a huge network of Wordpress sites I mean people were doing that years and years ago, Doin Article syndication is also something which is dieing out hard, even using spinners and churning the crap out a few times and then syndicating it isn't working any more.

Ha, I actually bought market Samurai last week.

More just to take a look at and maybe get an overview of some industries. I haven't used it "hardcore" like a lot of people though.

For those that are interested, second video out today:

Today's video is called "How the SEO Pros use the 5 Step 'Smart Syndication' System to build hundreds of thousands of backlinks each and every month". ;)

    Here's the Samurai link:http://www.noblesamurai.com/as/video/2

Here's the YouTube link if you want to bypass Samurai:

Just be aware that ultimately they are going to "pitch" you their product or products. But you're all big boys and girls, so you can make your own mind up. :)

Seems like a copy/improvement of Article Marketing Robot; use to work great but not so much since Panda. AMR only does article directories and wordpress blogs. I wonder if Article Samurai will act like a front end for services like AMA, UAW etc meaning you won't need a subscription to each of these services.

BTW, if you want to actually look at the sites demonstrated in the videos, here they are.

If anyone is interested, I'm giving it a run for a month or 2 to see how it goes.

This commenter took the words out of my mouth:

I don't' know what you guys were thinking when you watched todays video, but when I listened to their maths I was definitely going "um they expect to sell this product with these case studies"

I'd be going out of business if after months of article writing, spinning, syndication and submissions I had only netted 1700 extra visitors.

The results aren't terrible, but they are far from amazing.

A lot of the complaints seem to be directed at the price and not the product itself; God forbid anyone make some money. How can anyone offer an honest review when it's only been live for 1 day? I'm willing to give it a go for a month or 2. Compared to the cost of other SEO services, it isn't really a lot of money.

    Well said. Time will tell.

The thing is, if this "offering" motivates some people to get off their butt's and do something, then it's good. Because doing something is better than doing nothing. ;)

As far as a marketing exercise is concerned though, take your hat off to Noble Samurai. They created a "need", and then gave a "solution". Making it a limited offer also worked for them. When people can't get something, they tend to want it even more.
