Reminder of Forum Rules

I've needed to move and remove some comments this evening, we would ask that everyone follows the rules when posting.

We've had to put a few accounts on moderation after several warnings, it's important that members follow the rules. Please keep to the existing threads and do not post repetitive content. It looks like spam and only upsets members.

Another quick reminder about the post above. It has come to our attention that some members are unhappy about our recent moderation. Last week we were very public about putting accounts on moderation if they continually break the forum rules. We’re going to make this post a featured post, to make sure everyone sees this.

If your account is on moderation, it will be taken off moderation if you post an intro and/or follow the forum rules.

For the record, we never censor content (just look at the recent thread history), DNTrade always promotes free speech. However, we can’t have people breaking the forum rules and ignoring moderators requests. We’ve been dealing with an increasing number of complaints and emails about posts on the forum, and the volume keeps increasing from members across the board. We only request that all members remain respectful and follow the forum rules which exist to benefit everyone.

If you’ve just signed up and find you can’t post, please note that you must make an intro. Accounts that send rude or abusive email or messages to the admin team will not be approved and will be permanently banned.

We’ve always let members have their say, even when it’s criticism of DNTrade itself, sponsors or other members. The world and web is made up of many opinions, and while we don’t agree with everyone, we do support the right for everyone to have a voice and have their say. Whether you’re pro or anti direct registration, new gTLDs, the old or new auDA board etc., you can have your say, as long as you follow forum rules and respect one another.

Constructive discussion is always welcome, however, if your only reason for joining DNTrade is to attack another member, this is not the place for you.

Hi @sasha your account was put moderation along with others as per the message above. Your posts are not being blocked, we've been very clear about following the rules. The moderation is done by a few people who do so in a voluntary capacity for the community and we try to remain as impartial as possible. The rules exist to benefit everyone. You're more than welcome to participate on the forum but please respect both the rules and the moderators decisions.

There were several rules that were broken. The tone of the thread with insults and name calling was unacceptable and it was removed.

To be clear, the admin team don't necessarily agree or disagree with any of the posts on this forum. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, as do you Sasha. You are welcome to have your say, just keep the forum rules in mind when posting. They are there to help benefit the whole community.

1. its not possible to interpret the tone of anything in writing
2. please show me one insult that was used
3. please show what "name calling" you are referring to

Hi Sasha, we don’t normally enter into discussion on moderators decisions but since this is a pinned topic it might be helpful for others. We can agree to disagree about the tone.

The content was off topic, and escalated into insults posted by 3 other members also (which we are not reposting), all of these posts were removed. You also posted the same thing on multiple threads.

We appreciate that not all members get along and have very different opinions, but we do request that everyone shows respect for one another when posting.
