I registered a domain .com.au name last year. On christmas day I was contacted by the person who registered it as a trademark in 2005, asking me to stop using it, and saying the site is the same category as his business. (41)
I dont use the site to promote my business, I use it as archive and as a resource. Today I took steps to remove it from any search engine index. I removed any mention of the category his trademark is under. I offered to link to his business website.
Basically the site is not that important to me, but represents a large amount of work to re purpose the content.
He replied in essence asking for me to hand the domain name over at cost.
Can anyone tell me where I can get info of the process involved. What his and my rights are, how much the process is likely to cost both him and me if it is not be resolved by mutual agreement?
thanks!
edit:can anyone tell me where there is a list of trademark categories?
