Hi everyone,

We own the domain names www.propertyinvestor.com.au, propertyinvestor.com and propertyinvestor.net

We also have a website associated with .com.au domain, however we've decided not to proceed with the business so all the domains and the website are up for sale.

Could someone please give us some idea as to how much we can ask for the whole package?

Given the investment property.com.au was sold for $125k last year we are hoping to be somewhere in the vicinity.

Any input would be highly appreciated.

Investment Property has more search and commercial value then Property Investor. However, being developed and bundled with the .com and .net I think you could be looking at high fives easily. You would be better chasing the USA market with the .com and .net first imo.

Is there any revenue being made from the sites any JV deals etc?

I would try Sedo I don't think you would get near the investmentproperty.com.au sale price in the local market. The property market is pretty depressed still.

Hi Xwdomains and thanks for the reply. The website is currently used by different agents across australia to list their properties. It is very well received by agents, but at this stage it is free for them to upload their properties. In fact we had all LJHooker properties there and were in the process of getting all Ray White properties on but then pulled out as it was too expensive for us to host all of them.

Thanks. I learn fast and was directed there by a member who thinks I should look at bargain .coms instead of .au so I have been a busy bee doing heaps of research, even thinking about getting my own '.ANYTHING' before I realised how expensive this is!

Send them an email explaining how much traffic, clients and contacts you receive due to the mix up. This should spur them on to give an offer as they will think they are losing potential subscribers and advertisers by not buying the domain.

They should have a decent sized wallet as well.

Then like someone else mentioned sell the .com separately as you will get more for it selling it to the American market. imo
