Post Code Database

I was searching for a solution for a database of postcodes throughout Aus, and found this:

May be useful to someone out there I think.

I have since decided to re-structure my project to not need the post codes.. but still may be useful for someone.

I'm not sure how to monatise this type of thing if you built a site based on it (most people search - find answer - hit back ... i know I do for postcodes), but such interesting data just makes me want to find a way to use it!

could be used for a radius search I think.

Find me all "CarParts" stores within 30k's of my postcode. The carparts stores either pay a minimal listing fee or a lead fee.

Just one idea there.

People wont need to find carparts stores in their areas as they will all be using carparts.com.au

Just another avenue for you to look at soj.

If i'm working on my car I want that part now to get it back on the road, not in a few days after postage

I just need my licence back to be able to drive to get that said part lol.

Yep they do.

The one I posted includes long/lat info also.

I often use the Aust Post one coupled with yahoo geo APIs to reverse engineer.. ie. surrounding suburbs in a specified radius
