As you may know I do a lot of outsourcing, most is GREAT, but you end up with duds sometimes, these "sometimes" can cost you MOUNTAINS of time.

i'm just posting my failures to help others prevent them, but outsourcing is generally good.

I employed this guy "wordpress expert" he used in his bio, detailed exactly what I needed done, YEP, no worries mate, have it done in a week, ( its been 2 months now )

in the last 3 days I have done 10am- 5am, 10am - 4am, 10am - 4am , to get a problem solved.

all up @ 30 hours "off and on" time spent on the issue for me.

been online, ftp, DNS, Skype the guy I employed trying to fix just ONE problem.

today at 11am I was on Skype with another one of my programmers for different projects and asked if he knew anything about my program issue, he said " I've done it once"

so I gave him the passwords and 12 minutes later it was fixed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12 F'n minutes !

Lesson ONE: never give a new freelancer a clients website, get them to do one of yours first.

I forgot to pay attention to my own advice :(

Been there done that. I expect to run into more shonky outsourcers.

These days I always start with a trial, no matter what project.
