Just a little info regarding paying off or selling a domain through escrow. Someone asked me to think about selling a name via payments so I reached out to escrow, here's the reply

Our Domain Name Holding service is designed for Buyers and Sellers who agree to hold the domain(s) in escrow while the Buyer makes scheduled payments. We will charge the standard Escrow Fee based on the Total Price and an additional Holding Fee based on the Term Length (amount of time that we will hold the domain name). The holding fees are based upon who will be managing the DNS (If managed by the Buyer $25.00 per month/$300.00 annually or If managed by Escrow.com $40.00 per month/$480.00 annually) The minimum holding fee will always be $150.00 (this is based off of the 6-month term length holding fee).
