What are the legalities of buying .com.au domains and not doing anything with them. If someone comes along and can prove the domain isnt being used do they have a right to apply to auda to have it cancelled ?

its recommended to monetise the name until you fully develop it. Just make sure the Monetisation results / ( those ads on the page) are relevant and not infringing. Also make sure you DONT advertise it for sale within the first 6 months or you will breach CURRENT Auda policy

nah, there was a domain I was after that is the initials of some ones name, but it seems the domain name isnt used and hasnt been for some time.
