Onlydomains.com - scam?

Hey guys

I ordered a domain from this site (onlydomains.com), paid with a credit card so i'm really nervous.

The site says 24-48 hours it takes to 'verify' your account? shouldn't it be instant? And also i purchased a .pro domain name which was available, but i read that only businesses can do that. The status is 'pending'.

The scary thing is if you type in onlydomains.com scam in google, a few other people have had the same issue as me! I should of researched before buying it.

It hasn't been 48 hours yet, but I'm worried that they have the credit card details.
Any ideas on what to do?

I don't think onlydomains.com is a scam - they appear to be based in Napier, New Zealand. On doing a little digging,
I would say they are associated with Instra.com - they are also in Napier and Melbourne.

But please excuse my ignorance, but until your post I had never ever heard of a .pro extension.

Why would you want this extension as a matter of interest? (As opposed to a .com; .net; or .com.au).

I really hope that is the case, i will just wait the 48 hours and see what happens.

Oh me too just been doing a lot of research and .pro is for qualified professionals and you have to send documents to purchase it.
The thing is i tried purchasing a .org from there site and they asked for documents, but for the .pro they didn't :S

And the term that i had searched was only available with .pro.

On sedo, many one words with .pro are really selling for thousands so i was keen on buying it

All good in the end, just takes a while to verify new accounts and orders.
This site is legit, and you were right Ned, they are associated with Instra

Many are listed for sale for thousands, but if you click on bids, there are at least 4-5 pages full of .pro that have many offers and bids that are selling for thousands

No, they are not selling for anything
For example casino . pro
35 previous offers over an unknown timeframe
Sedo lists that as 35 bids
4 visitors in the last 31 days
The highest bid/offer might have been $10
It was probably higher though and probably a few years ago before everyone realized pro is a dud extension

It has taken me a while to get my account set up and approved before being able to respond to the claims about Only Domains. But thank you to the Moderator/Admin for approving my account creation on this forum.

Your prices for .com.au domains seem very competitive at $17.00 for 2 years. Is this a special - or is it going to be ongoing?

Also what is the cost of doing COR? And what is the process - manual or electronic?

We have no intention of revising this price at this stage, however we will not make any guarantees that they will stay at that price indefinitely.

Our pricing is based on what our competitors are offering. While some of our competitors offer low priced COM.AU domain names, we will do our best to match them or beat them.
