A 40% increase in domain drop-offs in October and November? People woke up to their non-sense domain names registered and decided to let em go or the ability to buy expiring domains has become confusing?

Anyway, Due to the lack of reporting, It would be good to see what you guys think.

Another interesting statistic is the huge 100+% increase in transfers in April

Would say there is a 2 main factors,

-Larger number of domains registered which should result in more drops.
-Prices down significantly from 18 months ago which should result in more drops.

It's all speculation until you analyze the data behind it.

Its no secret that we closely monitor .au. Occasionally we see large portfolio holders dropping names or registering names in various combinations. Swings and roundabouts.

Registration Trend using percentage change since 2011 until November 2013 indicates a slow down due to the high number of registrations.
