Put down the credit card, you'd be better off studying the market for a while. Would also suggest looking at aftermarket names (not fresh registrations) as it is extremely difficult to make money from reg fee names. It is going through names other domainers have rejected or dropped before.

Have you ever been to a garage sale, or a second hand store and picked up something that others thoughts was junk.?
Have you ever bought a dropped domain or an expired one. ?

I very rarely if ever hand reg a domain, i try to study my network and respond to what I believe is something I can sell or develop.
This particular domain was around back in 2003 as can be seen here https://web.archive.org/web/20030124013303/http://www.markettraders.com.au/

Yes, but I've never turned around and sold that item at a profit. The other issue is unlike an old painting or a toaster a domain has holding costs so it is very easy to buy one and lose far more than the initial cost.

Lastly the vast majority of unregistered and expired names are actually worthless but that fact can be very difficult to see when you've just gone through 1000 names and picked out what you thought was the best. My name isn't worthless!
