A FORMER IT worker defrauded $130,000 in tax returns to buy online domain names, a court has been told.

Michael Jeffrey Purse, 27, today faced sentencing submissions for 22 counts of dishonestly obtaining a gain.

District Court Judge Steven Milsteed heard Purse had deliberately inflated his businesses activity statements to boost his tax returns and buy domain names such as mowing.net.
