    It is not reform.

They are not addressing most of the Government review and the required actions.

    This is rigged.

The Government was clear "Current management is not for fit purpose"... Hint Hint. Replace current Management and we will give you a chance auDA...

auDA Management and Board have been stacking and manipulating process to not only retain their roles but pay themselves more ! Crazy stuff

“The current management and governance framework for auDA is no longer fit-for-purpose… In particular, the current membership model, and its relationship to corporate governance, is impeding auDA’s decision making and is contributing to ongoing organisational instability… The current process where the majority of directors are appointed from the membership does not support effective governance outcomes."

This could not be further from the truth.

The only thing stopping a captured, non elected by members majority, unrepresentative, victorian liberal party stacked board..... are the MEMBERS!

That is the reason for the current instability.

I further note that the current model was effective for 2 decades prior to this current situation.

    What has changed?

Guess who wrote the auDA Press Release and has used the CMWG to put it out without his name on it...

He made sure his name and anyone else from auDA was DELETED off it...
"auDA has commissioned Alister Paterson of Paterson Media to conduct this exercise, and beginning the 24th, we will reach out to every member individually and seek feedback in this regard. It is intended that over the next 5 weeks, auDA will have made contact with each member either through face-to-face meetings, video/teleconferences and/or email. The results of this consultation will be tabled at the AGM on the 28th of November, and will set the basis of future strategic and operational settings for the organisation.

This is an important next step for auDA as I further reform and improve our operations. I encourage all members to participate and would be pleased to answer any queries members may have regarding the process."
I think a few people sadly on the CMWG have no idea what they are being used for..and what their names are being use for on newsletters and releases.

    auDA's Alister Paterson

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alister_Paterson

"Alister Irvine Paterson (born 14 March 1959) is a former Australian politician. He was the Liberal member for South Barwon in the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 1992 to 2002.

Paterson was born in Melbourne to John Austin Paterson and Marjorie Webber Ball. He was educated at Scotch College, and subsequently became a journalist, although he also worked as a sales and programming executive. He was a founding member of the Melbourne branch of the Liberal Party in 1982, and worked for party media training from 1982 to 1991. From 1987 to 1989 he was senior newsreader on ATV10, and a radio host and commentator on 3AW from 1988 to 1990. From 1991 to 1992 he was a self-employed media consultant.[1]

In 1992, Paterson was selected to contest the state seat of South Barwon against Liberal-turned-Independent MP Harley Dickinson. Paterson defeated Dickinson to win the seat. He sat as a backbencher from his election until his defeat in 2002.[1]"

No, just 'potential' membership models - by all means - please suggest an alternative, either at the forum, or on the portal.

No? Your answer is in contrast to the email quoted below. Who should I believe?

"After considerable consideration and discussion the CMWG believes two potential membership model options should be the focus of discussion at this forum, namely:
    • A Functional Constituency Model, through which professional bodies, corporates, or other specific legal persons – each representing many individuals – form auDA’s membership.
    • A Single Member Class Model, through which any individual, corporate, or institution could join with equal weighting."
You say one thing and auDA says another. Is it possble you are being played?

Who put forward the functional constituency model?

The Government review was clear auDA urgently needs to improve their managements accountability and transparency

    auDA should disclose and list.

    1. Who each paid Consultant is
    2. What relationships any of them have to auDA Staff or auDA Board Members
    3. If they are linked to any auDA suppliers or other sub contractors ( such as Afilias or a Registrar etc)
    4. How much is Liberal party auDA related Alister Paterson being paid?
    5. Who are auDA's PR paid people? auDA needs to disclose who they are and how much they are being paid
This is really starting to get more serious.

    www.Grumpier.com.au
VOTE YES to all resolutions to save auDA, get it focused back on the .au namespace management and help it meet the Government requirements with improved highly qualified new management.

I'd also like to see if there are any connections to the independent agencies who searched high and low for directors and staff but could only seem to short list Victorian liberals.
