Hey All, there is a domain I want and I see its available for purchase on HugeDomains, I see they offer several options, ie buy now for $2495 or own it for $208/mo 12 months, or make an offer?

The first two I understand but what does the last one mean, Can I get the domain cheaper than advertised? Or is it some way to get me to bid more?

I guess before all that I'd run a trademarks check..
If it's a gtld consider renewal fees. I think it's a .com purchase here we are talking..

You have to work out what it's worth to you. Personally I'd make a good offer if you really want it.

i recently contacted a potential client, he had a nice ish website and i asked him "what did you pay" , his reply was " nothing.........i just pay $99 a month" !!!!!!!!!

so i said $99 a month for how long and he said " i guess forever" ?

do the math !

First thing, check the owner at who.is or any of the other whois sites. If hugedomains do not own the domain then you might get it cheaper if you contact the owner directly.
Start at $1,000 and see where they go. it's a serious offer but probably not serious enough to accept. Then sit firm around the $1,500 mark. If you wait a few weeks they'll always get back to you.
I recently bought a .com domain from a similar site. Asking price was $3,899 usd. I offered $1000, then went up to $1,500. They probably would have taken it if i sat firm for a month or so but the client really wanted it. I purchased it from the site a few weeks later for $2,000usd. Client was thrilled.
Don't act too keen. Sometimes you have to wait a few weeks.
