Hi all,
My name is Joe and I've been lurking on these forums quite a lot lately so I thought I might as well sign up and join the party. My background is mainly in SEO but I also know a thing or two about web development/programming, lead generation and email marketing.
I started out registering some pretty dumb names in '05 but it wasn't until the end of '07 that I began taking it (a bit) seriously. I keep an eye on various drop auctions (.au and beyond) but have yet to take a meaningful plunge into this arena. I've recently brokered a couple of decent .com.au purchases and am currently researching the auDRP process for a client.
I've got somewhere in the vicinity of 200-300 names, mostly EM keyword .com and .com.au's with a few "brandables" but I wouldn't say I have any real premium domains. I've developed about 80-100 of these but after a few google slaps and hosting woes I find I'm losing the love for the "throw sh*t at a wall and see what sticks" approach. I make some ok money from my sites but since ~80% of the income comes from say 5% of the sites I'm moving towards a quality over quantity approach.
Cheers,
Joe
