Hello!
I'm Peter Tonoli. I've been using the internet in Australia, since ACSNet. I'm currently on the board of Internet Australia & Electronic Frontiers Australia. Over the past several years I've taken an interest in internet governance in Australia, with the goings on at auDA of particular scrutiny.
Why have I joined DNTrade? I recently joined the auDA Consultation Model Working Group. One of the objectives of the working group is to develop a consultation model with all auDA members and the wider Australian Internet community in meeting the recommendations in the federal government review of auDA.
If you would like to discuss the working group, please feel free to ask.
-> I know there's a strong contingent here, and rightly so, of people who are sceptical of auDA, or another working group, but please have an open mind. I believe that management at auDA are being fair dinkum about open consultation and progress - the working group has a varied group of people, and so far, we've had very robust and honest discussions, within the group, and with auDA management.
