Does anyone deal much with .eu?

I'm just looking at the need to brand protect. Nothing more really, does Europe even use this extension?

in the past i have asked this of 3 english clients and they have all said .co.uk or .com, never .eu
my programmers haven't created sites in .eu either, i just asked them.

It is very rare you see many if any .eu sales reported on DnJournal which suggests it has not really taken off yet

I was just doing some research and saw a domain I just bought for a project is available in .eu. Not sure if it's worth grabbing it.

I wouldn't bother with .eu, for brand protection or investment. In Europe they mainly use their ccTLDs, such as co.uk, .de, .fr and .it, or they use .com.

The ones that are most active on the aftermarket are .co.uk and .de.
