I got this email yesterday..
Has anyone else received one of these?
The domain in on the drop list today, I didn't realise these auctions were "Private".
Hi.
We are involved in a private domain auction tomorrow and one of the listed domains is DOMAINXYZ.com.au.
I noticed that you are currently listed on google for this particular search term and may be interested in purchasing this keyword rich domain name. Having an exact match domain name can significantly help your SEO and increase your site's position in Google.
The starting offer we can bid on your behalf is $175 + GST
We are contacting a number of parties so if you are interested please email back ASAP. The bidding ends at 1pm tomorrow, and for us to place a bid on your behalf we need to be notified before 12.35pm (Melbourne Time).
How do we move forward?
We require you to send us a reply email with a contact number and confirmation that you wish us to place a bid of $175 + GST on your behalf.
Any offer you make will be inclusive of administration costs and our 10% brokerage fees. As these are wholesale auctions we can in most cases secure the domain name for this minimum bid, however if you wish us to have a higher reserve to increase our chances of securing this domain please indicate so.
What happens once we have secured the domain name for you at auction?
Our admin staff secure the domain name at auction and direct the domain name and all traffic to your website with a 301 redirect to ensure you inherit the existing traffic, inbound links and domain authority.
Only once this is complete will we issue you with a payment request (net 2 days). After payment we issue you with administration details and the domain becomes wholly owned by you and you simply manage it like any other domain name.
