I'd say this has been done time and time again. It's been on the market for some time from memory. Maybe not with the current registrant, but I've been hearing it for a while.

That said, you might be able to contact the right person if you keep trying.

This domain certainly does have some history! Years ago, James Wester sold it to Tim Gosper of "Vouchers" infamy for a very decent sum. Gosper then had some problems, and he had to sell off a lot of domains very cheaply. Yes.com.au was one of them. Every man and his dog was offered it!

According to Flippa, someone with transactions of $22k wants it.
I get bored easily, so the msg that it has not reached reserve is enough to turn me off, and further bids or notifications

This is a ripper domain, good luck with the sale!

I can't find a YouTube clip, but check out the latest American Express ads. I had to double take because at first I thought it was Optus and thought of this thread - it flashes up Yes throughout the ad... I'll post here when I see it.

It pays to pick up the phone and call all of the marketing departments. You will get a savvy manager eventually. This happened to me when I held an insurance domain, I rang all of the big companies and the one that rang back was Youi.

You just never know until you pick up the phone. Also, as I recall this domain had trademark protection attached originally so if that is still the case then there are other companies too like crazy johns.

Use to work with Optus many years ago when they were a client, things like this probably would take a while to sign off. One would presume if they wanted this domain already they would have acquired it though they use the current brand name. It would be a viable micro site and could make a cool campaign from it. Could even pitch it to the media agency working for Optus.
