DEEP LINKS question (how unusual)

Deep linking from another domain to yours, e.g. to page 127, is well regarded in SEO terms is it not? (obviously the linking domain's authority/relevance is important). Deep links in general are better than links to index page? ... yes/no?

So what about Deep Link to Deep Link? ... same value or more/less? e.g. theirsite.com.au/interestingarticle.html linked to mysite.com.au/articles/ ...?

cheers,
Mike

I would say it mostly depends on the authority of the page with the outbound link, regardless of how it fits into the websites hierarchy

- Internally you want to link to deep pages on the site which are related, or semi related, you can do this via your internal link structure keep it below 100 in my eyes, you can work more if structured right but dont go for 1000s.
- Externally you want to aim for high authority links.
- Aim for a mix of non follow and do follow.
- Aim to attract links on higher quality websites do a review on the quality of the website before making a link acquisition.
- Also finally aim for sites with have a good social equity.

But overall as said above if the page is quality and authority it will make an impact, if its a dormant page with no quality or authority it will not do much.
