Anyone experienced it personally with their adwords campaigns?

Ive heard of it done before. A few years back a school kid was telling me how he had set up a program to hit these add links. He used a list of freely available IP's to ping from.

Ive also heard how easy it it to ping websites to make it look like there is lots of traffic.

Although in reality it can backfire as their CTR will shoot up, increasing their QS and therefore decreasing their CPC....

This will not work if the site is already high authority.

Google is not stupid they can see index history of links, if suddenly a massive amount of pligg links or bot net links appear it is obviously it is a competitor trying to utalize black hat on them.
