hi, can someone give me an idea where to start on how i create a english/chinese function for a chinese lauguage version of a presently english chinese restaurant website in melbourne ? meaning so it can be seen on everyones computer?

is it possible to have a "convert" button ? or does it have to be a subdomain copy?

or am i totally thinking the wrong way?

getting the chinese language info in is not an issue, just talkng function, happy to do subdomains.

thanks but thats not what i want to do, if there is 1 small error in the menu translation it could be costly

My development skills are a little rusty these days, from a simplicity perspective multiple versions is probably your best bet or have them beside each other (English Menu and Chinese Translation).

e.g. 公民身份 (Citizenship)

Have a look at Moreland: Welcome to Moreland City Council in Chinese - Moreland City Council, Victoria, Australia. This may give you some ideas.

In the past I used a combination of language/resource files and cookies. It's then just a matter of calling the corresponding language file and variables.
