"casino" related domains in Australia

Hi All,

What's the story with casino related .com.au domain names and websites in Australia, can we build them and link/affiliate them to casino sites outside Australia...does any one know the rough guidelines surrounding gambling websites etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In a word Jason, no.

But if you decide to, you should realise that it is also a tough market at the moment, you're lucky if you even get paid by affiliate programs.

It's always been an issue with me as i've dealt with poker (pardon the pun) for a few years with some businesses I am involved in.

We have had many large poker companies approach us to promote them but the law says we cant.

That said there are some very big players in the market promoting away without any care and they dont look like stopping.

So the choice is yours.

I went to a seminar once on the subject and they were really pushing online bingo. It was legal here as it didnt fall under the gambling banner as such.

Might be worth looking at.
