So I want to register 2 .com.au domains with Crazy Domains. At the end bit of the purchasing process I have to tick a box where I state these domains are clsely reletaed to my business. These domains are 2 good keyword domains, but have nothing to do with my business. Does that mena I cant buy these domains?

You can go ahead and buy the domains, as long as they aren't infringing on any trademarks you won't have any problems.

If youre going to develop then for monetisation I guess then it becomes part of your business?
