Brisbane Meetup 2013

How times flies... It's already been over six months since the last Brisbane meetup.

Shall we get the ball rolling for another meetup in the first half of 2013?

i think the "poll" date system has worked well in the past, i also think its important for "out-of-towners" to get a good date warning to help with reducing flight/accom costs.

also lets not clash with erhans plans for a seminar in melbourne, that would just be silly.

because 2012 meetups were so succesful IMO i think DNT should try to map out a plan for the year, i know chris has alottttttttttttttt on his plate but i think that maybe shane you work in with chris and take it on, someone from sydney does the same.

how about we take erhans idea and combine it into brisbane in april???

just throwing ideas out there.

maybe we have a meetup and the next day a seminar? or visa versa

i think the value of meetups is GOLD, so i think this thread should BUZZ with ideas and really get a great structure going.

nobody every talks about adelaide and perth? so it would be good to hear from members in that area.

just my thoughts, "fast game is a good game" and i'd like to be booking my bris trip asap

last year we met in the valley, the venue was good and feedback was it suited most people. the goldcoast is to sparce... eg: is it coolangatta or southport?

Friday 5th March would suit me, not so much the 12th.

Edit: Not so much of a clash, but just that he was looking at something in the same month.

thanks shane, but ...April 5th is a friday not march 5th, then there is no clash with erhan as i think he is heading towards May as a date ???? and also march is to close to plan + we have easter at the end of march.

2pm is good i think, i liked the venue, i found the table to be a bit awkward and confined, it was much better once we finished lunch and move to "walk about" mode, this "walk about " mode worked well in sydney as well where we just had nibbles not meals ( unless you wanted it )

if we get 20 people i think everyone would be happy to throw in $10 and just get nibbles ? opinions
